Born in France in 1980, Thomas Rimbot graduated in Philosophy. His study, constantly renewed by private researches, is the base and the matter of his actual audio-visual work.
Parallel to his study, he explored various forms of expression offered by cinema, watching lots of moviesin cineclubs and French art & essay theatres.
In 2004 he went to Berlin in order to learn the technique of editing, and then the technique of cinematography. He collaborated regularly to filming and editing of several short films by directors from the DffB, the prestigious Berlin film school.
The quality and the freedom offered by new generations of digital equipment, in combination to his technical skills and artistic and philosophical knowledge, enable him to practice independently his art of film-essay, or philosophical research in an audio-visual expression.
